Is my prayer (Salah) Islamically valid if I pray in a clean foyer/washing area that is separated from the actual toilet room by a wall and a door?
I work as a childcare educator and have a legal duty of supervision. On Fridays, I attend the Friday prayer (Jumu'ah), which means I have no break time left for the rest of the day. During winter, this makes it impossible to pray Asr on time because I cannot leave the children alone. Because of that i try to pray when i ask if i can go to toilet The layout of the bathroom from work consists of two separate sections. First, you enter a door marked 'WC' and step into a foyer/vestibule where only the sink (washbasin) is located. From this foyer, there is a second, separate door that leads to the actual toilet. If I pray in the first room (the sink area) while the inner door to the toilet is kept closed, is my prayer valid? The area where I pray is clean and physically separated from the place of impurity (Najasah) by a wall and a closed door."
